Alison is an imaginative, adventurous, and certifiably Midwestern gal with a passion for graphic design, photography, and other creative miscellanies.
As a kid, Alison thought all of her artistic creations—including those done on her dad’s Macintosh Classic—were masterpieces. Art school and a decade of experience have humbled her, but she still has a child-like enthusiasm for the creative process.
Alison is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, with minors in Theater and Political Science. She also honed skills in winter driving, cold weather camping, and Nordic wildlife observation. In the fall of 2008, Alison moved from the comfortably cold Motherland of Minnesota to Chicago.
Happily settled in the Windy City, Alison is a proud resident of Pilsen. Experienced in graphic design, photography, creative project management, art direction, and leading creative teams, Alison is proud to have worked with some of Chicago’s premiere non-profit, cultural, and tourist destinations such as the City of Chicago, Millennium Park, and the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago.
